As we move into spring, the chances of flooding increase due to our typical South Texas weather. SERVPRO of Alamo Heights is here to help you get prepared for any potential flooding in San Antonio. Preparedness includes knowing the weather terms in regards to flooding. These terms typically come in the form of watches & warnings. So, without further ado, here are the terms so that you can be actively be aware of the current level of danger in your Alamo Heights home or office during a spring storm.
Flood Watch:
Flooding is possible. Listen to weather radio, commercial radio, or TV for information.
Flash Flood Watch:
Flash flooding is possible. Be prepared to move to higher ground; listen to weather radio, commercial radio, or TV for information.
Flood Warning:
Flooding is occurring or will occur soon; if advised to evacuate, do so immediately.
Flash Flood Warning:
A flash flood is occurring; seek higher ground on foot immediately.
